The dental agency buying guide

Understand the fee before you sign.

Compare published dental marketing prices and learn what to ask about media spend, setup fees, cancellation, account ownership and reporting before signing.

Compare the same scope

A website project, a monthly SEO service and an advertising management fee are different purchases. Ask each agency to separate one-time production, recurring management, software and advertising spend. A low advertised entry price may cover only one part of the work.

Read the service-specific contract

A homepage slogan may not describe every plan. For example, Pain-Free Dental Marketing’s Essentials page specifies an initial six-month period, followed by month-to-month service. Always read the terms for the service in your proposal.

Read the Essentials terms

Take these questions to your next call

  1. What will you deliver? Ask for the number and scope of campaigns, pages, creative assets and meetings, with a delivery schedule.
  2. What is the complete cost? Separate setup, management, media spend, software, production and taxes. Clarify minimum budgets and percentage-based fees.
  3. How can we leave? Check the initial term, notice period, renewal, outstanding project balances and transition support.
  4. What will we own? Confirm control of the domain, website, advertising accounts, tracking, creative files and collected business data.
  5. What counts as a result? Distinguish enquiries, qualified calls, booked appointments, attendance, accepted treatment and collected revenue.
  6. Who needs to do what? Agree who approves content, supplies photos, handles enquiries and updates the practice-management system.
  7. Can we see comparable work? Ask for relevant examples and permission to speak to a client in a similar market.

Use a shortlist, then ask for a proposal

Choose up to three providers in the directory to compare their published services and details. Request a written proposal from the providers that fit your practice. The directory does not broker introductions or send your information to agencies.
